If your car is as old as mine, and it most likely is, because
you're here... the windshield if you have been lucky and haven't
had it break, then it's probably pitted and sand blasted just
by father time. And no matter how clean you get it, if the sun
catches it just right, it's really bad, and seeing out becomes
more difficult.
I was shocked, but I just called up my State Farm Agent, and
they forwarded me to Lynks, and all they did is ask me a few
questions, and they replaced it, no inspection or anything.
I had two tiny rock chips in the window for the past 5 years,
but otherwise, it was okay, and they just replaced it for free.
You know there is those local shops everywhere that offer something
free. They waved $75 off my $100 deductible, and they were there
the next day, and I got 24 free dinners at some local crappy
restaurant. I'm sure there is some similar deal in your town.
While you're doing this (Well the glass guy is doing this),
and your front window is out, you may be interested in replacing
your windshield seal, (no more drips in the car) upgrading your
front speakers, or doing something
to your dash. Oh, and of course, getting those pens and
pennies out of there!!!
Hey! Remember, when you are doing this, to get yourself a nice
new Mercedes-Benz Sticker! ($4)
